After the brutal murder of Helen Kimball the police interrogate Dr Richard Kimball as the key suspect. Kimball claims he fought with a "One armed man" shortly after entering his home. The police don't buy the story and Dr. Richard Kimball, a famous Vascular surgen becomes the prime suspect. During the trial the prosecuting team replays a 911 voice message left by the dieing Helen Kimball name her killer as "Richard". It does take long for the jury to find Dr. Kimball guilty. The reasons are simple, the police found no forceable entry, no stolen items, and no other suspences with opportunity. Helen's skull had been crush resulting in massive hemoraging. Kimball receiving scratches from Helen while trying to keep her alive. The picture made it look like Kimball had been in a struggle with his wife. The jury considered Kimball the killer and because the brutality of Helen's death the jury sought the death penality for him. The police thought Kimbal's motive was greed. Kimball was positioned gain the most from his wife's death with him being the beneficiery and receiver of her fortune. Sentencing was delayed for execution by the state and Kimball was remainded to a secure facility to await lethal termination. Devilin McGregor, a pharmaceutical company, made $7 billion dollars the previous year and was backing DU-90. DU90 helped restored the liver through the regular metabolic pathways of the liver. Kimball job was to take samples of the liver during the clinical testing, but Lance was switching bad liver tissues with a single donars healthy tissue. Lance was murdered by the one armed man just prior to the approval of DU-90. The liver samples were submitted for storage on the very day Lance was murdered. The devious plot is uncovered by Kimball who discovers his friend (Jereon Krabbe) was behind the the tissue switching. Kimball confronts his friend at a McGregor Medical Conference and tells his friend he know what he did. A fist fight brawl occurs with both men hit and pushing each other. At one point, Kimball whats to know "Why Helen" had to be killed for which there is no reply. Its seems like the plan was to remove all individuals connected to the DU-90 project, in the case of Lance by a mysterious hit and run and Kimball by an indictment of murder. The man-hunt chase between U.S Marshall and Kimball started after a stunning bus and train wreck. This bus/train wreck had to be one of the most incredible stuns performed in 1990. The security officer on the bus claimed no prisoners survived to the local police, but after leg shackles were found, Gerad takes over jurisidiction and the hunt begins, a fugitive is on the run. US Marshall Samuel Gerad relentlessly starts to hunt kimball. Kimball is injuried but manages to find a hospital and sews up his wounds, gets a bit to eat, and manages to maintain a calm personality as he walks out of the hospital past a police man and into a ambulance. Caught in a tunnel with a helicopter blocking the exist its seems like Kimball is going to be caught but the director has other plans. Kimball escapes into drainage tunnels and at one point holds Gerad at gun point telling him "I didn't kill my wife" to which Gerad says, "I don't care". Gerad policy is never to bargin or negoitate. The director includes a punchline calling Gerad "Wyatt Erp". Wyatt Erp forms an interest character parallelism with Gerad because of his legend of hardness, brutality, and rentless tenacity. It doesn't seem like Gerad cares about Kimball claims of innocence.[Learn More ...]
