10. Creating new technologies, projects, and business requires new vision, new business models, and unconventional solutions. Teams offer different perspectives transforming a problem into a solvable solution. Friends and colleagues help us get unstuck with our problems. Having a knowledge repository helps build on other people’s ideas.

11. To leverage the genius of teams, you must have disciplined processes in place led by a Team lead champion. Focus on important customer and market needs. Iterate and compound ideas using collaborative techniques for sharing and communicating. To harness the team’s genius, each person must be engaged, contributing, and building on others ideas in a disciplined manner.

12. Every member of the team must feel secure about having a significant role in the project. The team members must bring critical skills necessary for the success of the project. The team members must trust their teammates skills.

13. When people are not involved, they become angry and irrational, because exclusion directly threatens their ability to contribute. People want to contribute their talents, feel respect, gaining empowerment by making or sharing in decisions, and overcoming fear and uncertainty.
